Internship Experience: Sales & Data Analysis Department at VinhThinhTech Company
During my internship at VinhThinhTech, one of Vietnam’s leading companies in flexible air ducts and thermal insulation systems, I had the opportunity to work in the Sales Department with a focus on data analysis and customer behavior research.
VinhThinhTech is a company specializing in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) solutions, providing high-quality air duct systems and insulation materials for both domestic and international projects. With over 3,000 completed projects, 50 authorized distributors, and 500 major clients, the company has contributed to many large-scale developments such as Samsung factories, Landmark 81, hospitals, resorts, and airports. Today, it is recognized as one of the top three manufacturers and distributors in Vietnam in its industry.
My main responsibility during the internship was to study internal keyword search data used by the sales system. I analyzed the number of searches occurring daily and monthly to identify patterns in customer demand. This helped the company understand which products were most frequently searched and how customer interest changed over time.
In addition, I examined seasonal trends to identify periods of higher demand, which supported better planning for sales campaigns and inventory management. Another important part of my work was analyzing the conversion rate: how many searches actually turned into real orders and helping evaluate the effectiveness of customer interest and sales performance.
I also explored the possibility of using external tools such as Google Analytics to collect market-level data. This allowed me to compare internal search behavior with broader customer trends, providing deeper insights into how the company could better understand its customers and improve sales strategies.
Lastly, this internship gave me valuable experience in combining data analysis with real business decision making. It helped me understand how large industrial companies use data not just for reporting, but to grow strategically and stay competitive in a fast-moving market.
